The time has come...
I always thought of this day when I was growing up. Celebrating my first child's first birthday. What would it be like? I could imagine it in my mind..all fluffy and happy with everyone singing and candles blowing and wishes made. It was beautiful

It's funny how things don't quite turn out how you imagined it. Ellie spent 3 hours sobbing and screaming today because her molars are coming in. Yep. Molars. She's a fast mover. I spent the majority of the day on the computer editing photos that still aren't done..2 down, 5 to go. I got so overhwhelemed I shed some tears, held my baby and tried to get her to calm down, then simply decided we needed a break.

Isn't she beautiful?? Call me biased but I really believe she is. Everywhere we go people stop and stare and coo over her..then they tell me her bow is bigger than her head, which I am fully aware of.

Later on in the evening Chris's family got together and celebrated at Farrel's ( a new restaurant in town), which was fun. It was only too bad Chris wasn't there to see it. Turns out Black Friday isn't the best day to have a job in retail, especially when it's on your daughter's birthday. So I was a little sad, but SO grateful that my husband is such a hard worker. Thank heavens for daddies. We ended the night with another scream attack from ellie then I slipped her into beddy-bye where she was fully ready to hibernate. Bless her heart.

Not quite the one-year-old birthday I had imaged. Oh well. When daddy comes home, we'll celebrate. Birthday's go on forever at our house anyways. I'm sorry you had a sad birthday-but I hope you won't remember :-) Tomorrow we'll splurge and get a cupcake. It will be the best. Just like you.
You're the best ellie.
Your my little Turkey.
Happy Birthday to you my love...

Oh...so true! You continue to learn that over and over as a mom! Those pictures are to die for Tiff. She's a doll, but you're really talented! I heard you were in town! I'm sad I missed you.
Gorgeous!! So do you make her headbands/hats? If so how? They are darling!
she is beautiful! I love that chandelier, really only $80 something bucks? I also have that frame, the one that kinda looks like baubles. The clear one. Happy Birthday pretty little miss!
Amazing pictures, adorable baby. You are so talented Tiff. I bet your photography business is flourishing!
Happy Birthday, little doll! What a cutie. Darling photos! I love your candid storytelling-- how things don't always turn out the way we dreamed they would. At least Ellie's birthday won't always fall on Black Friday and she won't be teething forever, bless her heart!
(Btw, have you tried Orajel or Anbesol for her sore gums? Baby Tylenol? I have found all of them to really help a miserable baby.)
SOOO CUTE!!!! Sad that our little bugs get big too fast! She is darling!
