Santa's favorite elf. She has been a very good girl this year. Really, she has. This Christmas for sure has to be the best because she is here. She has been so thrilled with the gifts around the tree and the stockings hung up. She tears them down every day and has already torn apart 3 packages. She's just way too excited.
Tonight is Christmas Eve and it should be cozy at home. Just Ellie and me. Yes it is sad that my husband is working until eleven o'clock on Christmas eve and has to go back to work at 6 a.m. the day after Christmas but that's just the reality of it. My heart mourned his absence this morning but also the excitement that tomorrow brings when he can spend an entire day with us, opening gifts and eating yummy food. Can you imagine me being an army wife?? I can't even handle a late night at work. Our lives are good. In fact, they are wonderful. I am continually enriched by my husbands presence, in and out, here and there. We will take him any way we can get him :-). As for everything else, it is as good as it can get. I have a precious angel who sleeps at my house every night. I can't believe it! I'm so lucky! She's my gaurdian-in every sense of the word. I love her and I love her daddy.
