So on Chris's day off last week, we decided to borrow some bikes from our neighbor friends and take them for a ride down the Newport boardwalk. Honestly, it was the greatest day of my life second to my engagement and wedding day. I don't know why but I was just the happiest camper you ever saw!! The weather was so amazing, the fresh ocean air against my face, my husband and my daughter connected at the hip-literally, and we were loving and admiring all the cute little beach houses along the way. I kept telling Chris, this is the happiest day we've ever had!
We stopped off at a little park right next to the "wa-wa" and hitched it up on the swings. Ellie loving every second. Maybe me even loving it more than her?
OH I just LOVED this day. I didn't ever want it to end. I love special moments like these where it truly feels like we are a family. I've got all my critters together and I feel like a mother hen. It's times like these when I think I can have a million children just like Ellie and live in a small tent on the beach and be perfectly content with canned food for the rest of my life. I could maybe handle it ;-).
Needless to say, I loved today.
